Work has begun on the first neighborhoods in Lakewood Ranch Waterside, Lakewood Ranch’s newest village. Located east of I-75 and south of University Parkway, this is the Ranch’s first residential foray into Sarasota County.

Pulte Homes broke ground in April of this year on two models in Shoreview, which will consist of 246 single-family detached homes on 66- and 72-foot lots. The models are estimated to be complete by July 1, 2017. Presales and site tours will begin June 1, with contracts accepted beginning July 1.

Shoreview will offer premier estate homes on the spectacular long lake views. Pulse is offering nine floor plans designed for how you live. The innovative designs feature open gathering areas, flexible living spaces, and personalized design options

Homes by Towne plans to break ground on Lakehouse Cove this month and in June, with model completion between December of 2017 and January of 2018. Presales will begin in August and September for their 391 homes on 52- and 65-foot lots.

Builders Arthur Rutenberg Homes and Lee Wetherington Homes will build within Lakehouse Cove on 76-foot lots, with two models each.

The community will feature 12 compact, walkable neighborhoods interconnected with distinctive retail offerings. Waterside, when complete, will consist of 5,144 homes including apartments, condos, townhomes and single family homes, with a wide variety of price points. Waterside will be built around seven lakes, with more than 20 miles of shoreline, acres of nature preserves, an 8-acre waterfront park, and an interconnected trail system.

Waterside Place, the village center, will begin construction in 2018, and will include apartments, restaurants, retail shops, professional offices and the Players Centre for Performing Arts, all within walking distance of every residence.

The project includes much-needed infrastructure, including the extension of Lorraine Road as a four-lane thoroughfare to Fruitville Road, updates to Deer Drive, and the eventual extension of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard to Fruitville Road.
